1. Pick your display

Most builders use a 24–32" HDMI monitor or TV behind one-way acrylic. Brighter panels read better through mirror film. Plan for 1080p minimum; 4K is optional for larger mirrors.

2. Raspberry Pi

M2C2 targets Raspberry Pi 4 with 4GB+ RAM. More RAM helps if you run camera, Piper, and heavy dashboards together. Use an endurance-rated microSD or SSD USB boot for 24/7 use.

3. Touch vs voice-first

Touch overlays add cost but make control obvious for guests. Voice-first setups stay cleaner visually — M2C2 supports both paths.

4. Budget checklist

  • Pi + power + SD (or kit)
  • Display + mount
  • Mirror glass or film kit
  • Optional: USB mic, Pi Camera, PIR, touch frame
  • M2C2 Pro licence (one-time) when you're ready to unlock everything

5. When to buy an Anakatech kit

If you want validated thermals, a flashed SD, and Perth-based support, our store kits ship with tested parts. DIY is great if you enjoy the puzzle — M2C2 runs on both.
